Providence Road\nMedia\, PA 19063  \nYou may be surprised to learn that Pennsylvania is the first state in the nation to pass a meaningful environmental rights amendment\, and currently is one of only 3 states to recognize environmental rights in a meaningful way. Maya van Rossum is currently advancing The Green Amendment movement\, seeking to inspire and secure constitutional protection for environmental rights across the nation. Come hear Maya speak about her book The Green Amendment\, about the power of constitutional for environmental protection\, and what we all can and should be doing to take advantage of our constitutional right\, as Pennsylvanians\, to pure water\, clean air and a healthy environment. Whether you are advocating to protect your community’s last piece of greenspace\, are concerned about advancing industry\, the climate crisis\, how your community is treating your local environment\, or you have friends or family in other states and what to know about their environmental rights there will be something in this talk for you. \nMaya will be available after the talk to sign copies of her book\, available for sale in the Redbud shop. \nBio: \nEnvironmental author\, activist and attorney Maya K. van Rossum has served as the Delaware Riverkeeper and leader for the Delaware Riverkeeper Network since 1994. The role of the Delaware Riverkeeper is to give the Delaware River\, and the communities that depend upon it and appreciate it\, a voice at every decision-making table that could provide help or do harm.
