The Future of Montezuma is A Healthy Environment: Community BYO Picnic

You are invited to participate in our Community BYO Picnic by the Dolores River under the cottonwoods at the Dolores Community Center featuring Maya van Rossum speaking about the Colorado Right to a Healthy Environment Amendment on Tuesday September 29th from 4-8PM.
Join in the fun and educate people about your work to make a healthy Colorado for everyone. There are three ways you can participate:
- Attend our family friendly event.
- Table and share info about your group, your future projects, and how people can get involved. The Community Center can provide tables and chairs. We have space inside the Community Center, outside on the covered patio, or outside on the grass in the picnic area.
- Table and provide a family friendly activity related to clean air, water, and healthy land and other
Agenda
4-5PM Bring your own picnic to enjoy by the Dolores River in the shade of the cottonwoods. We will have special guests playing guitar, native flute, and cultural storytelling for your enjoyment.
5-6PM Maya van Rossum will speak about the Colorado Right to a Healthy Environment Amendment.
6-8 PM Tabling and family friendly activities. Please contact Jennifer Singer at corhea@forthegenerations.org to choose your spot for tabling and/or fun family activity for the community. Reply by 8/15/2026 to get your organization and activity listed on the community flyers.
