A Healthy Environment: Is It Our Right or Privilege? with the Rockford Sustainability Committee

April 16, 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm EDT

Join us for this special speaking engagement hosted by the Rockford Sustainability Committee in Michigan!

While many environmental regulations exist, they often act as a “license to pollute,” allowing polluters to meet permit requirements without genuinely protecting the environment. These regulations are susceptible to political changes and frequently leave vulnerable populations with little protection or recourse.

Enshrining environmental rights in the constitution’s bill of rights ensures that these rights cannot be ignored or undermined. By securing a Green Amendment, we can guarantee a healthy and sustainable environment for current and future generations. Three states currently have a  Green Amendment and another 25 states, including Michigan, are actively working toward that goal.

Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about the Green Amendment movement and how we can work together to protect Michigan’s environment for future generations.

We look forward to seeing you there and making a difference together!
