Become A Green Amendment Ambassador!
Green Amendments For The Generations is thrilled to announce the launch of our nationwide Green Amendments Ambassador Program, coming in December 2024! We’re looking for enthusiastic, dedicated volunteers to join the Green Amendment Movement as Ambassadors! In these roles, you will help spread the word about the importance and values of a Green Amendment in your state and help us to grow our individual and organization support base.
We have two Ambassador tracks with different levels of structure and commitment to make the Ambassador program accessible to all who are interested:
Ambassador Educators
Engage in guided outreach to educate community groups, local businesses, your neighbors, and your social media network about the values of a Green Amendment.
Ambassador Educators have specific roles, each with their own set of instructions and materials, including:
Community Group Ambassador: Organize & facilitate informal presentations to community groups/organizations you belong to
Door Hanger Delivery Ambassador: Pass out informational Green Amendment door hangers throughout your neighborhood and nearby community
Business Support Ambassador: Talk to local businesses and business leaders and getting them to sign the business statement of support
Social Media Ambassador: Share social media content on your personal page and/or online community groups that you belong to
As an Ambassador Educator, it will be your job to:
- Join our Action Platform to receive communications about the statewide movement and participate in monthly check-in calls for this volunteer position
- Share Green Amendment information with interested persons and parties in your network, either through informal presentations, neighborhood conversations, or social media posts
- Report back to Green Amendments For The Generations leadership team on outreach efforts
Ambassador Activists
Engage in informal conversations with family & friends about the values of a Green Amendment, and potentially join us for action events like rallies and testimonies.
Ambassador Activists include any person who is advocating for a Green Amendment in their daily lives or may be interested in joining in action events such as rallies, press conferences, and testimony in front of the state legislature.
As an Ambassador Activist, you will have the opportunity to:
- Join our Action Platform to receive communications about the statewide movement, connect with other Green Amendment Ambassadors, and participate in monthly calls to help with your advocacy
- Access Green Amendment resources to learn more about the Green Amendment concept and movement, and then talk about it with others
- Get notified about on-the-ground action events in your state, including rallies, press conferences, testimony, and more
Anyone who is passionate about environmental rights for all & grassroots organizing is the perfect fit for these positions. We’re not looking for legal experts or environmental scientists (though we would love to have you if you identify as such!)– rather we are looking for community-oriented individuals who are willing to advocate for the values of a Green Amendment through everyday conversation or direct outreach to organizations, businesses, and individuals. However you choose to engage, we’ll make sure to give you all of the materials and information you need for successful outreach and advocacy! Ambassadors can be based anywhere in the United States.

Green Amendment Leaders
Become a Green Amendment Leader by completing our Getting Up to Speed to Lead Program. Securing environmental rights in your state can be a daunting task when you don’t have the proper knowledge, tools, and guidance.
Green Amendments For The Generations and partnering organizations will help passionate community members become Green Amendment Leaders! Green Amendment Leaders must participate in 3 interactive training sessions to have a detailed understanding of Green Amendment language in the context of your state and feel prepared to take on the activities needed to drive this movement forward.
Hands-on Training
By the end of this hands-on training program you will know how to:
- talk about the Green Amendment and refer to resources
- secure a municipal resolution in your town
- ask and gain support from others including individuals, businesses, civic or environmental groups
- set up an appointment and talk with your state’s legislators
- discuss the benefits of a Green Amendment and how it can help end Environmental Racism
Program Completion
At completion of this program, participants are expected to take the knowledge and skills onward into their communities in order to truly be a Green Amendment Leader.
