HB2151 Is Still Moving Through The PA Legislature and We Need You To Say No AGAINThe bill language has changed but its issues have not:• The removal of the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) as the author of a model ordinance is an improvement, but replacing it with the Local Government Commission is still a concern. Legislators are split across the board on their positions on data centers, so whose interest will this ordinance be written for?• The current language states that municipalities can opt out of using the specific language of the model ordinance, but then what is the need for a law in the first place ?
