New Mexico Green Amendment — Getting Up To Speed & Building Momentum

Are you tired of fighting all year long against the injustice being done to our environment? Having emails that ask you to show up at city, county, and state levels to beg our elected officials not to make decisions that harm our right to clean air, water, soil, and a healthy environment? Since the 2024 legislature has come to an end I know we have had to fight Water Reuse Rule Changes (for MLG to go around the legislature for a strategic water supply), the aerial spraying of the Greater Chaco, Liquified Natural Gas Plants, methane leaks, heavy industrial zoning in already overburdened communities for asphalt plants or increased oil & gas drilling… and so much more!
You know what would stop all of these whack-a-mole injustices in their tracks? A Green Amendment– A constitutional right, written into our Bill of Rights, that clearly states We The People have the right to clean air, water, soil, and a healthy environment– AND make remedies for bad actors, pollutive industries, and write the wrongs of exploitation of our land. To do this, we need to build our coalition now so our voices are heard in the 2025 Session.
