National Green Amendment Day

Together We Celebrate National Green Amendment Day

July 13, 2024

This Year’s Live Event was the Day Before, on July 12, in Albany, NY.  Learn more about what we did here.

But National Green Amendment day is for all of us, everywhere. And so we enoyed a week of celebrating the amazing power of this movement with a week long social media storm, including an opportunity to win a prize if you engage.

We had two ways for you to engage. And each time you did, we entered your name in a free drawing for some enviro-friendly prizes!

On the slider above you can view some of the inspirational words we received!  Thank you to all who participated.

Maya van Rossum (Founder of the Green Amendment concept and movement) had her son pick the winning names.  If you want to view the actual drawing, you can see the video on our Green Amendments Action Platform – the place we post all hot news first for every active state.  Not on the platform yet? Join on your computer here, or on your phone from the app store by searching Green Amendments For The Generations.

Below is a list of the winners and what they won!

Here’s why people engaged in this powerful week of action:

Securing a Constitutional Right for All People Across our Nation is a Game Changer for Environmental Protection, Environmental Justice, Addressing the Climate Crisis & Protecting Future Generations.

Let’s join our voices to celebrate the immense progress made this year.

Not only have the Green Amendments in Pennsylvania, Montana & New York advanced otherwise unachievable protections, but the number of states advancing Green Amendment proposals is now up to 17 with more on the way.

Hear from local community members about why Green Amendments are so important:

  1. Send us up to 13 words that express what a Green Amendment means to you and your state, and/or what is inspiring you to support the Green Amendment movement. Your words – which will be posted on our page may also be used in other Green Amendment educational and outreach materials – will help inspire others to join the Green Amendment movement!  There is power in numbers – and your special 13 words may be just the inspiration that convinces a community, organization or person to join us in our crusade for constitutional environmental rights.
    SEND US YOUR WORDS

  2. Share our Green Amendment Day message on social media. In just a few clicks, from this link, you can send this pre-written tweet on the X/Twitter platform to environmental journalists and media outlets:
